New UK research, published in September 2012 in the Journal of Occupational Medicine, shows that Dru Yoga can reduce perceived stress and back pain at work. Edith also offers Dru yoga at workplaces. Recently she has been teaching classes at two companies in Kensington and Knightsbridge in the evening. For more information, please contact her directly.

Dru Yoga

Dru yoga is a unique style of Hatha yoga with its graceful and easy flowing movements and sequences, guided breathing, affirmations and blissful relaxations. Rooted in classical yogic traditions yet designed for the 21st century, Dru yoga offers restorative and therapeutic techniques bringing body and mind into balance as well as increasing flexibility and resilience to stress. It is very uplifting and has positive effects on health and general well being. At the same time it is deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. Suitable for all ages, levels of fitness and ability.

In 2008 she discovered Dru Yoga, joined the Professional Dru Yoga Teacher Training (200 hours Yoga Alliance course) in London and has been teaching this safe and therapeutic style of yoga at gyms, yoga studios and workplaces since 2009. In 2015 Edith qualified in Restorative yoga, a teacher training run by Anna Ashby at Tri-yoga London, a simply restorative yoga which has now become part of Edith’s teaching. Most recently Edith started teaching yoga classes at Champney’s Spa Hotels. Edith also offers Ayurvedic diet & lifestyle consultations.

“I think all of us would benefit from Dru, which is not like other kinds of yoga. Edith is a caring and creative teacher, committed to her practice, who helps us tune into our bodies and minds through flowing sequences, visualisations, meditation and relaxation, accompanied by beautiful music.“ RB
